I'm not a feng shui master, and this isn't part of my heritage. But it's not new to me either. I have a degree in interior design, a passion that never quite fully materialised the way I thought it would. If you'd looked on my bookshelf as a teenager, you'd have found feng shui books already there, years before I had any idea why they were interesting to me. This has come in and out of my life more than once, the way things do until they're finally ready to fully develop.
What I've realised is that I've always been a little obsessed with floor plans and spaces. I used to think that was just about design. It wasn't. Underneath it all, what I was really drawn to was the energy of a space, how it feels to be in a room, not just how it looks.
I came to this work because I love it, and because I've felt what it's like to walk into a room that feels stuck, and then walk into one that feels alive. That difference is real. Maybe you've felt it too.
Most feng shui advice you'll find online is surface-level: move your desk, add a plant, declutter the hallway. That's all great, but it's also only one layer of a much deeper system.
What I practise is a system called Flying Star Feng Shui.
