EFT Tapping Therapy Online & in Sussex
Release stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm and the limiting beliefs keeping you stuck. Whether you are navigating a life transition, rebuilding your confidence, healing old emotional patterns or seeking deeper personal growth, evidence-based EFT Tapping helps create lasting emotional change.
You already understand a lot about yourself. Now it is time for your nervous system to catch up. Emotional Freedom Technique combines modern psychology with somatic healing to calm the stress response and help release emotional patterns that talking alone cannot always reach.
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”
Everything is connected. Our thoughts, emotions, nervous system and experiences don't exist in isolation. When we create change in one area, it ripples through every part of our lives.
EFT Tapping combines modern psychology with gentle tapping on specific acupuncture points to help calm your nervous system. It creates a bridge between what you know in your mind and what your body is still holding onto.
Sometimes insight isn't enough. You can understand why you react the way you do, yet still find yourself repeating the same thoughts, emotions or behaviours. EFT helps your body feel safe enough to let those patterns go so lasting change becomes possible.
As an accredited certified practitioner, I combine evidence-based practice with intuitive insight and compassionate support. Every session is tailored to you because your experiences, your story and your path forward are uniquely yours.

What I help with
The thoughts you think, the emotions you carry, the patterns you repeat and the way your nervous system responds all influence one another. That's why EFT can support such a wide range of challenges. Rather than simply managing symptoms, we work together to uncover and shift the underlying emotional patterns creating them.
Some of the areas I regularly help clients with include:
Leaders in the field have researched Emotional Freedom Techniques for many years. This visual guide, created by Nick Ortner and based on the research of David Feinstein, explains how EFT works with the brain, body and nervous system in a clear and accessible way.
How EFT Works: A Visual Guide from EFT Researchers
What does an EFT session look like?
Each session is fully focused on you, on where you are right now and what you most want to achieve. We’ll start with a conversation about how you’re feeling, your goals and what you hope to get out of the session. Together, we’ll uncover the blocks or patterns that might be holding you back, then we’ll use EFT tapping to help restore flow and ease. One of the most beautiful things about this therapy is that it can open up clarity and guidance in unexpected ways. The process is simple, but when you’re truly open to change, you never know where the session might take you or what insights might emerge.
In the last part of our session, we’ll take time to reflect on the tapping and notice what has surfaced. This is also where I may bring in some of my favourite tools and techniques to support you, helping you integrate the shifts more deeply so the work really lands in your body and cells.
I work with people who feel ready for change, who notice patterns or blocks that keep them from stepping fully into their potential. Together, we explore the conditioning that’s holding you back, gently releasing it so you can:
Discover your purpose and direction
Release anxiety and overthinking
Break repeating relationship or life patterns
Increase energy, focus, and clarity
Feel more aligned and confident in yourself

How can EFT tapping help?
I talk to Charlotte in this video about what her experience has been during our sessions together. She talks about what it’s been like to disconnect issues from each other like a cord cutting and the difference between a session where she comes in with heightened emotions vs a session where she is relaxed at the beginning. Watch this short video to see what a difference EFT tapping can make.

How We Work Together
The most meaningful change often happens when we have the time and space to understand the patterns beneath the surface and gently work through them over time.
For this reason, I primarily work with clients through regular EFT sessions, creating a consistent space to explore what is coming up, release emotional blocks and build new ways of responding.
Ongoing EFT support
Regular weekly or fortnightly sessions allow us to work together beyond the immediate challenge and explore the deeper patterns influencing your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
Over time, this support can help you build greater emotional resilience, strengthen your connection with yourself and create lasting change.
We will keep your wider goals in mind while each session responds to what is showing up for you in the moment, creating space for the deeper patterns beneath the surface to naturally reveal themselves over time.
Session details
Your first session is 90 minutes, giving us time to review your intake form, understand your goals and identify where EFT can best support you.
Follow-up sessions are 75 minutes, allowing more space than a typical 50 or 60-minute appointment. Alongside tapping, we will take time to integrate your experience, reflect on what has shifted and explore any additional tools or practices that may support your continued growth.
Need support with something specific?
I also offer ad hoc EFT sessions for those who need support through a particular challenge, a difficult period or a situation that feels emotionally overwhelming.
If you are unsure what type of support would be right for you, book a free discovery call, and we can explore the best approach together.
My EFT Philosophy
I believe EFT is most powerful when it’s done in the right container with the right person.
There are many ways to experience tapping: YouTube videos, group sessions, self-practice, or one-to-one work. Each can be helpful in its own way. But EFT isn’t just about the tapping points. It’s about releasing resistance, which requires you to feel safe, seen, and supported.
If you don’t connect with the practitioner, if their energy doesn’t feel right to you, you’ll be more focused on that discomfort than on the process itself. Connection, trust, and safety are what allow EFT to work deeply. This is why choosing a practitioner you resonate with is so important.
So if you’re looking for an EFT practitioner, my advice is this: choose someone you truly connect with. Someone who listens, who honours your process, and who makes you feel at ease. Because when the energy is right, EFT becomes more than tapping—it becomes transformation!
My Story with EFT
When I first came across EFT, I wasn’t impressed. I tried it in groups, on my own, and through YouTube videos, but it all felt surface-level. Later, during a training course where EFT was used as a tool, I decided to book a one-to-one session to see what the hype was about and to experience what I’d be offering to people. To my disappointment, the practitioner didn’t really listen to me. She talked at me instead of creating a space for me, and our energies didn’t mesh. I left feeling underwhelmed and set EFT aside.
Things changed when I was offered sessions by a kind, present practitioner in a Soul Explorers group I’m part of. That experience was completely different, this time I felt truly heard, supported, and safe. For the first time, I experienced the power of EFT.
Not long after, I watched an EFT Summit, where inspiring teachers shared how they use tapping to shift everything from stress to abundance. I found myself captivated and, with encouragement from my husband, enrolled in a certification programme.
That was the turning point.
In a safe and supportive environment, I began to experience profound changes in myself. Patterns I’d carried for decades started to dissolve. When I began working with clients, I saw the same kind of rapid, meaningful transformation in them too. That’s when I knew EFT wasn’t just another tool. It was THE tool.
I believe there is a lesson in everything. Looking back, I can see why I needed those earlier underwhelming experiences. They taught me how essential the practitioner-client connection really is. EFT works best when there’s compassion, skill, and presence in the room. That’s the container I now create for my clients, one where you can relax, feel safe, and allow your body and mind to let go of the old patterns that have been weighing you down.
What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Techniques, often called “tapping,” is a mind-body approach that combines elements of traditional psychology with acupressure. It was developed in the 1990s and has since been the subject of more than 100 clinical trials, making it one of the most researched energy psychology methods available today.
At its core, EFT involves gently tapping on specific acupressure points on the body (the same points used in acupuncture) while focusing on a problem or emotion. This process is thought to calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and “rewire” the brain’s response to old patterns.
Dr Peta Stapleton, a clinical and health psychologist and world-leading researcher in this field, has demonstrated through brain imaging studies and clinical trials that EFT can lower cortisol (the body’s primary stress hormone) by up to 43% in a single session. Research also shows that this therapy reduces activity in the amygdala (the brain’s fight-or-flight centre) while enhancing regulation in areas linked to decision-making and emotional balance.
Because of this evidence base, this therapy is being used in hospitals, schools, trauma recovery programmes, and by therapists and coaches worldwide. It has shown effectiveness for anxiety, stress, phobias, food cravings, PTSD, depression, and physical pain, offering a gentle yet powerful way to bring the mind and body into harmony.
How does EFT tapping work?
EFT tapping works at the intersection of psychology and physiology. Here’s how the process unfolds, based on scientific studies:
1. Cognitive engagement – When you identify and focus on a problem, your brain brings up the associated neural pathways and emotional patterns. This makes the memory, thought, or feeling “active” in your system.
2. Somatic stimulation – As you tap on acupressure points (located on meridians used in Traditional Chinese Medicine), the body sends calming signals to the amygdala and hippocampus. This reduces the stress response and interrupts the cycle of fight-or-flight.
3. Neurological regulation – Clinical studies, including those led by Dr Peta Stapleton, show that tapping helps regulate brainwave activity and lowers cortisol. This results in measurable shifts in brain functioning, moving from hyperarousal toward calm and safety.
4. Memory reconsolidation – EFT appears to leverage a psychological mechanism known as “memory reconsolidation.” When you revisit an upsetting memory while the body is in a calm state, the brain essentially “rewrites” its emotional impact. Over time, the memory remains, but the distress around it fades.
In short, EFT doesn’t erase experiences—it changes your relationship to them. Instead of being hijacked by fear, anxiety, or old beliefs, your brain and body learn a new, calmer response.
Why should you try “tapping”?
EFT tapping isn’t just about releasing stress. It’s a doorway into deeper personal growth. Many people first come to “tapping” because they’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by old patterns. But what they discover is that it does more than ease anxiety or calm the nervous system. It creates space for clarity, authenticity, and lasting change.
Here are some ways this practise can support your growth journey:
Uncover what’s holding you back – By tapping into the subconscious, this therapy helps bring awareness to limiting beliefs and hidden fears. Once seen, these can be gently released, allowing you to move forward with more freedom.
Reclaim your personal power – Research shows this therapy regulates the amygdala, reducing fear-based reactions. This shift empowers you to make clearer decisions, trust yourself, and take aligned action.
Strengthen your sense of worth – “Tapping” can ease the constant “not enough” loop, replacing it with a grounded confidence that you already have what it takes.
Deepen authentic connection – When you no longer carry the same emotional weight, you show up more fully in your relationships, parenting, and work.
Support transformation at every level – Whether it’s your finances, health, career, or self-expression, EFT creates the inner alignment that leads to real-world change.
The beauty of this therapy is that it’s practical and portable. But it also goes to the heart of who you are, helping you integrate past experiences, release what no longer serves you, and embody more of the freedom, joy, and wholeness you’re seeking.
If you’re ready not just to cope, but to grow and thrive, EFT tapping can be the tool that bridges where you are now with the life you want to create.
